The guide and the wiki change with every game update, so AI writes the explanations. Every name, number and place comes from the game's own data and is checked against it.

Tier 5 runs

The fifth stone in the hall at Dormant's Rest. Every monster in a tier 5 run sits at a base level of 80, the Dormant at 92, and a skill door asks for level 90. A run holds 9 fight regions on the way to the Dormant and three to five wings off them.

The Dormants at this tier

One of the six waits at the far end, rolled at the fire. At tier 5 each has all three of its moves.

Dormant Beast level 92, 553 HP, hits up to 28

  • The charge, every 14 seconds. It gathers and drives at one of you. Everyone on the line takes the hit and a step back.
  • The roar, every 20 seconds. A roar that staggers: nobody within six tiles moves for a few seconds.
  • The plate shed, every 5 seconds. At half its health the plates come off. Bared, it hits twice as hard and takes half again from every blow.

Dormant Abbot level 92, 553 HP, hits up to 28

  • The wave, every 12 seconds. It raises the water and a wave rolls out five tiles: a magic hit on everyone it reaches, and a step back.
  • The drowning grasp, every 18 seconds. It takes one of you by the throat. Three seconds rooted with the water closing over you, and a hit for each.
  • The bell, every 30 seconds. It rings, and two of the drowned of the tier answer at its side. They fall when it does.

Dormant Gargoyle level 92, 553 HP, hits up to 28

  • The stone, every 22 seconds. For six seconds it is a statue again. Nothing marks it from the front. A blow from behind lands double.
  • The wing sweep, every 14 seconds. The whole wing comes round. Everyone within two tiles is hit and thrown two back.
  • The fall, every 24 seconds. It goes up. A second and a half later it comes down where one of you stood, and the floor cracks: everyone within two tiles takes a heavy hit.

Dormant Heart level 92, 553 HP, hits up to 28

  • The pulse, every 12 seconds. One hard beat. Everyone within four tiles takes a hit and is pushed two back.
  • The vein lash, every 9 seconds. A vein whips out at one of you, up to four tiles, for half again its hit.
  • The beat, every 15 seconds. It tries to beat, and the beat heals a tenth of its health. It cannot while somebody stands on the cradle, within a tile of it.

Dormant Magistrate level 92, 553 HP, hits up to 28

  • The sentence, every 12 seconds. It passes sentence on one of you: four seconds rooted where you stand.
  • The bailiff, every 26 seconds. It calls a bailiff to the bench: a knight, a footman or a squire of the tier, at its side until it falls.
  • The verdict, every 20 seconds. Two of you change places: the nearest and the farthest, wherever they stood.

Dormant Sovereign level 92, 553 HP, hits up to 28

  • The seal, every 45 seconds. The doors of its room shut for thirty seconds. Nobody leaves and nobody comes in.
  • The split, every 14 seconds. The sword comes down along the line from it through one of you, nine tiles long. Everyone on the line takes double its hit.
  • The kneel, every 40 seconds. It kneels and nothing marks it. Sigils light on the floor, one per seat: stand on every one and it rises staggered, taking double for six seconds. Left alone it rises on its own in forty.

The doors

The wings of a tier 5 run hang behind a fallen elder log (Woodcutting 90), a rockfall (Mining 90), a rusted portcullis (Smithing 90), a barricade (Kindling 90), a ward (Magic 90). Working one pays the XP of one ordinary action at that level, and so does every step of the wing task behind it: the forge (Mining 90, Smithing 90); the beacon (Woodcutting 90, Kindling 90); the offering (Fishing 90, Cooking 90); the kiln (Mining 90, Kindling 90). Each wing finished is one more Dormant key (tier 5) for every seat.

The key and the chest

The Dormant's death grants every seat one Dormant key (tier 5), and one more for every wing the party finished. A key cannot be traded or dropped, and it is spent only at the Dormant's chest at Dormant's Rest, one key for one roll on this table:
