Why you'll stay

If you can see it, you can reach it

No invisible walls, no painted backdrops. That island on the horizon, the far coastline, the peak above the clouds: they're all real places. Point your skiff at open water and sail there, then beach it and climb. The whole world is one continuous place, and it's all yours to wander.

Play however you want

No classes, no locked paths, no "you chose wrong" at character creation. Swing a sword, string a bow, cast a spell, or forget fighting entirely and spend the evening fishing and cooking by a fire. One character can master all twelve skills, in whatever order feels right today.

A cozy game that waits for you

No battle pass, no energy timers, no fear of missing out. Log in, catch a few fish by the water, cook them over a campfire, and log out again. Your progress is right where you left it. This is the unhurried browser RPG you remember, made to come home to.

Better with friends

Add a friend by their username and invite them into your world. They'll show up in the same realm as you. Meet up in town, quest together, take down a boss as a party, or just fish the same lake and chat. It all works the same on your phone, tablet, or computer, so nobody gets left out.

Your Story Starts in Brightmeadow

Start with nothing but a hand-me-down sword and a hot meal at the Gilded Tankard. End up sailing your own skiff across two open seas with a dragon's hoard in your bank.

Fight Your Way

Sword and shield, bow and arrow, or raw magic. Pick your style, pick your battles, and work up from chasing goblins to staring down a dragon.

Sail the Open Seas

Earn your own folding skiff and click any open water to sail it: along the coasts, out to lost islands, and across two seas to whole other continents.

Quests Worth Telling

Save a panicking cook, end a goblin raid, clear the Crown City's sewers, slay a drake in a volcano, then cross the sea and end a century-old curse.

Master a Trade

Chop, mine, fish, cook, smith and burn your way to true mastery. Every level makes you noticeably better, and the best resources are worth the climb.

Chase Legendary Loot

Fourteen bosses drop unique weapons no shop will ever stock. At the very top sit the Ultimates, reserved for true masters, the rarest of them sealed away with hidden superbosses that guard them to the death. And across the sea, a crown heavy with a dead king's gold.

Build a Home of Your Own

Raise your own home and farm at the ElderHeart, room by room, grow power-food on the plots, and hang teleport portals in the hall. No housing level to grind, just the skills you already have. Friends can visit, but only you build.

Play Together, Anywhere

Full touch controls on phones and tablets. Add your friends, invite them into your world, and take on the realm side by side. Every character saves to the cloud.

The World

Three Continents, Two Open Seas

From the castle town where your story begins, across a burning waste, over an ocean dotted with islands, to a gilded continent with a curse in its corner. Here are a few of the realm's jewels.

Brightmeadow

The castle town at the heart of it all. Your first quests, your first sword, and a hot meal in the Gilded Tankard.

Coronmar

The Crown City, seat of the High King. Giant walls, three great gates, a multi-floor castle, and a sewer no one talks about.

The Scorchlands

Ash to the horizon, lava in the low ground, and every scrap of treasure the old world left behind, guarded by dragons.

Meridia, the Gilded Continent

Across the sea: gold terraces, the capital Auremont, the mining town of Vessa. Every skiff from Eastmere puts in at Goldstrand.

Vesperion & Vespera

The Evening Continent across the western Dusk Sea: tundra, prairie, a mountain spine, and the greatest walled city in the world. Its one gate opens only for the Warden's seal.

The Eventide Colosseum

Vesperion's open-air arena. Face the Pit Behemoth, the Storm Revenant and the Iron Colossus: no reward but glory, and no defeat that lasts.

Velmora, the Pearl of the South

A marble metropolis rising in three shining tiers from its harbour to the Pearl Palace. Grand baths, a great library, and cutpurses in the arcades.

Sunhaven Isle

A waterfall pouring off the plateau into a turquoise lagoon, tiki bars on the sand. Pure vacation, apart from the King Crab that rules the reef.

Two Things Are Sold, and the Game Needs Neither

Ancient Warden is free, and every acre of it above is free. These two are for players who want more room than a free account holds, or a world that keeps running when they log off.

Keeper

One payment, once, for the whole account. Twice the bank, five characters instead of two, four friends in your world instead of one, and the Warden's tools.

Become a Keeper
A realm

An always-on world of your own, kept month by month. Your rules, your name on the door, and it is still there when you come back.
