The Ember
The Ember is a level 178 beast found in The Ashen Cellar. It is a boss, and it never stops being dangerous.
It waits alone at the bottom of the Ashen Cellar, under a burnt homestead in the Scorchlands. No quest points you there.
Fighting it
A rhino from a hotter place, cracked all over with living fire. It gores with a lowered horn, and it breathes fire when it cannot reach you, so hiding behind range buys you nothing.
Preparation: Plan for four to five minutes of solo fighting in your best gear, and most of a full food load.
Fire-breath: every 4th swing is a gout of flame instead of a bite, up to 30 damage. If you stand just out of reach but within 7 tiles, it breathes at you rather than only chasing, then closes the gap. There is no safe spot.
